Hi! I’m William—but you can call me Willy, because I like you. I’m a UX, copy and comedy writer based in Chicago, IL.

I relish talking out a big idea with other creatives just as much as waxing poetic about it in digital or print. Whether covering a concert or spinning stories that inspire a purchase, I aim to engage, illuminate and delight.

I love writing humorous dialogue, finding clever turns of phrase and occasionally throwing in a pun or two (the more cringe-worthy, the better). I know when to swing for the fences, and when to keep it simple and let the subject speak for itself. Which is hard when it’s a refrigerator, because they don’t have mouths.

When I’m at a loss for words, I dabble in stand up, digital illustration and screen-printing. I opt to get around by bike when weather permits. I volunteer with local non profits and support the city’s music scene. I also make a pretty satisfying soup.
