One Page Checkout

In 2018 and 2019, Sears IMX began redesigning the entire cart and checkout process for sears.com and kmart.com, and I led the UX copy strategy. These screenshots show multiple paths and stages in this bottom-of-funnel flow, from the expanded shipping and payment method selection panels to the fully filled-out state.

This is the checkout page in its filled-out state. New labels in these two sections clarify recipient, ship by date, billing address and payment method.

In this new right rail, consolidated discounts and rewards points improve on the former, cluttered order summary. The section below “Total Due” clarifies points being earned.

The shipping speed selection panel. Tweaks to language clarify the seller and estimated arrival date for each item.

This panel combines all other payment methods, including Pay in Store. This checklist improves on the former with streamlined steps and more casual language.

The initial state of the payment panel. Improved CTAs clarify what needs to be added to move forward.

If an item in cart came from an eBay seller, this disclaimer is triggered.
